Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (1999) - showed the Jesus film and conducted Vacation Bible School
Timbuktu, Mali, Africa (1997) - constructed a church building and conducted evangelism efforts
Atlanta, Georgia, USA (1996) - conducted street evangelism at various Olympic game venues
Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, Russia (1995) - renovated an orphanage and conducted evangelism efforts
Reynosa, Mexico Summer (1994) - conducted soccer clinics and conducted Vacation Bible School
Before dabbling in the banking, health, and insurance industries, Ben served five years active duty in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. He completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. His first duty station was Fort Wainwright, Alaska, from which he deployed to Iraq with the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Ben was next assigned to Germany until the completion of his enlistment.
Ben was trained as a counterintelligence agent and graduated from the Army's Military Intelligence School. He is also certified in the Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation.
